Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Alpha is a free AI assistant built by DragonMeta ("we", "our", or "DragonMeta"). This policy explains, in plain language, what data Alpha handles when you use it and the choices you have. Privacy is a design principle for us, not an afterthought.
No account required
You can use Alpha without signing up. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any personal profile. Just open the app and start typing.
Data we handle
Your conversations
- The messages you send and the replies Alpha generates are stored on our own servers so you can return to your past chats.
- Conversations are tied to your browser, not to a personal identity.
A single first-party cookie
- Alpha sets one cookie, alpha_uid, containing a random identifier. It links your chats to your browser so your history is there when you come back.
- The cookie is httpOnly (not readable by JavaScript) and SameSite=Strict (never sent to other sites). It carries no personal information.
Standard technical logs
- Like any website, our servers may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, timestamp, and browser user-agent) for reliability, security, and abuse prevention. We do not use these to build a profile of you.
How we use data
- To provide the chat and conversation-history features.
- To keep the service reliable and to detect and prevent abuse.
What we do not do
- We do not run ad-tracking or third-party analytics trackers.
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not share your conversations with advertisers.
- We do not track you across other websites.
Web tools
When you ask Alpha to browse a page, search the web, or generate an image, only the request needed to fulfil that task (for example, your search terms or the image description) is sent to the relevant external service. If you don't use those features, nothing leaves our servers for them.
Your controls
- Delete a conversation — remove any single chat from within the app.
- Delete everything — the "Delete all" action wipes every conversation tied to your browser.
- Start fresh — clearing your browser cookies removes the alpha_uid link; a new one is created the next time you chat.
Data retention
Your conversations remain available until you delete them. There is no automatic sale, export, or third-party transfer of that data.
Data storage & security
- Location: DragonMeta's own infrastructure.
- In transit: protected with HTTPS.
- Isolation: each browser can only see and delete its own conversations.
- Cookie safety: httpOnly, SameSite=Strict, and marked Secure over HTTPS.
Children's privacy
Alpha is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
